Since 1984
What began as a dream in 1984 when Laurence and Gina purchased their first salon has blossomed into a beloved hair community that continues to grow and evolve today. With a shared passion for hairdressing and a vision to create something meaningful, their journey was always about more than just hair — it was about people, connection and confidence.
In 1992, Radical Hair Design officially opened in Castle Towers, proudly becoming the centre's first hair salon to establish a shop-front. This milestone marked the beginning of Radical Hair as a recognised name within the industry and local community, built on trust, creativity and a strong work ethic.
By 2010, Laurence and Gina made the decision to relocate and establish Radical Hair Design's forever home in the heart of Dural's Round Corner. This move represented a shift in both space and philosophy, allowing the salon to fully embrace a more refined, client-focused experience. It was here that the #RadicalHairCommunity was truly born.
Today, Radical Hair Community is proudly a family-owned boutique salon with a team of expert stylists, each specialising in their own craft. Whether you're seeking a precision haircut, bespoke colour work, blonding, lived-in styles or transformative hair extensions, our stylists work collaboratively with you to create a personalised hair plan that truly suits you.
1984
Laurence and Gina purchase their first salon together, planting the seed for what would become the Radical Hair Community.
1992
Radical Hair Design officially opens in Castle Towers — the centre's first dedicated hair salon shop-front — and quickly builds a loyal following.
